Frequently asked questions

Q

What are the differences between the Light, Standard and Professional editions of WebCoder?

A   The main difference between the editions are the amount of included functions and therefore the price. The Light version contains the fewest features, at the lowest price, while the Professional edition contains all features. To see which features are in each of the editions, please have a look at our comparison chart.

Q

I'm looking for TSW WebPad.NET or TSW phpCoder 2008. What happened to them?

A   TSW WebCoder 2010 is a combination of previous versions of WebCoder, phpCoder and WebPad.NET. In the Professional edition, it has all the features of both WebCoder and phpCoder, and if you're looking for a light-weight, cheaper version, like WebPad.NET, you will love the Light edition of WebCoder 2010. If you have purchased a license to either phpCoder 2008 or WebPad.NET, we will be happy to offer you a nice upgrade discount for WebCoder 2010. More information can be found here.

Q

The Firefox preview is not working. How do I make it work?

A   WebCoder 2009 uses Firefox 3.0, while WebCoder 2010 uses Firefox 3.5 for previewing. If you are using datafiles from a wrong version, for instance an older or newer version of Firefox installed on your computer or a set of datafiles obtained for a version of WebCoder different that yours, you will need to obtain the proper datafiles. The easiest way to do this is to go Functions -> Settings -> Misc -> Paths in WebCoder and then follow the link for downloading the datafiles from TSW. That way, you will get datafiles which matches the version of WebCoder you're using.
